Just looking out for the day when you're close to me

I've been fantasizing about doing a His Dark Materials comic adaptation for years, but talking about it recently has me thinking about it more than usual. Last night's nightcap sketches turned into drawing Lyra, and then reading the last few chapters of The Amber Spyglass (and then crying xD).

I reread the series every year, and this year I think I'll try drawing characters and scenes as the mood strikes. Can you even imagine how long it would take to adapt the series...? Like 10 years?? But it would be cool...
