I know it deep in my soul
New fan art for Spirited Away:
Sold
This is not actually among my favorite Ghibli movies, although I find it to be beautiful and very fun to watch. I like the characters a lot and laugh at the jokes. The themes of self-discovery, cultural reconnection, and creating your own purpose in life are wonderful. I even cry at that part where Haku and Chihiro are falling! It's just...you know when you can recognize that something is good without actually connecting to it that strongly? It's that for me.
It's probably because I like some of Studio Ghibli's other movies VERY much and they set the bar ridiculously high for me.

Pulled under by an avalanche of lies
I'm trying out a tiny new notebook. It's fine and good to say you'll take your sketchbook wherever you go, but have you seen what fits in a lady's pockets? Not much. Tiny Notebook is my latest attempt to always have SOMETHING on me to doodle in:
He was looking at the giant ad for the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum’s water park that is currently looming over West Burnside. I went last summer with a few friends and holy crap it was so much fun. We went a little bit ironically, but we left as earnest fans and we can’t wait to go back.

You're the one anomaly
I updated my Etsy shop with 3 new original pages from Between Gears. Allow me to plug my minicomics while I'm at it; all of my minicomics are now OUT OF PRINT, meaning that I will not be making any more of them and once these sell out they are GONE.
It is very likely that I will sell out of several titles at conventions this spring. If you want them, I strongly recommend that you buy them from me soon.
To clarify: I do hope to make minicomics again, but I will not reprint any of my existing minicomics. If I make minicomics in the next few years, they'll be new stories. (If I could pull off a Becky Cloonan-style short story, high-quality production, that would be really rad. That is my dream right now.)
